Tournament Structure

UNITE 2022 – Cookout Registration & Rules

RULES:

The competition will be run from 1pm – 3:30pm open to Alumni of Presentation College (Chaguanas and San Fernando) and their colleagues. JUDGING will be done promptly at 3:30pm.

Team Complement

The Captain or the Vice Captain must be an Alumnus. Members are NOT allowed to play for more than one team and breaches could result in disqualification and / or a forfeit of points by the team that has committed the offence.

Registration

The cost to register your team would be $300 for a maximum team of 10 persons. For this you will receive:

  • -  A 10 x 10 Tent

  • -  2 rectangle tables

  • -  2 table cloths.

  • -  5 chairs

    Protests

    All protests shall be lodged with the AAPCC Coordinator as early as possible, including protests against the eligibility of a player. The AAPCC Coordinator shall examine the evidence and decide the validity of the protest, in the presence of both captains. The Coordinator’s decision shall be final and not subject to appeal, and could result in disqualification and / or a forfeit of points by the team that has committed the offence.

    Ingredients

    All teams must use the following in their dishes :-

  1. A poultry product (Duck, Chicken, Big Bird) OR Seafood

  2. Must prepare a dish of chow.

  3. Must incorporate the secret ingredient to be revealed on the day.

  4. A side dish (Provision, Dhal, Pepper Roti, etc)

Scoring

UNITE 2022 – Football Registration & Rules

Teams will be judged on a scale between 0-10 on 4 types of criteria :-

  1. Originality (New concepts against the norm)

  2. Difficulty (The way the secret ingredient is used)

  3. Taste (Goes without saying)

  4. Presentation (Besides display, teams will be deducted points if their work station is not

    properly cleaned)

Preparation

Competitors are asked to do as much preparations as possible before they come to the venue, especially cleaning and seasoning of meats. This is in order to keep the sink area clean and hygienic for use by other participants.

Teams Equipment

Teams must bring their own pot, ring stove, cooking utensils, ingredients etc.

Misconduct

Anyone behaving badly in the venue will be escorted out of the venue by hired security.

Liability

The AAPCC and PCC and its management do not accept liability for injuries sustained to tournament participants or spectators. Please do not burn yourself or anyone else.
